Jempins

This elephant was one tough little guy.  All the parts, matching them all up.  Sewing in twisty lines.  Stabbing my finger with pins.  Anyway, I guess he turned out kind of cute.  If you want to make one of your own the pattern is in the Softies Kit.

I also made another sock monkey for a friend who asked for two at Christmas and then decided to keep one for herself.  I think she called it Gary.

and finally dressmaking class is back on!  I’m still stinging from the shame of not finishing the skirt from last time (especially when I discovered that one girl who had never done dressmaking before made a skirt and a dress), but I’m determined that this is a skill I will master, so this time I’m making a dress.  Stay tuned.
