Further craftage

The granny squares grow, although I am less optimistic about having my blanket in time for winter.  I have been enjoying a bit of lunchtime crocheting in Tinderbox though, so that should help the cause, although daily coffees aren’t helping my financial diet at all.

Swap-bot is also still threatening to overwhelm all my other crafting interests.  This week I did a random craft swap, in which you were to send any crafted thing to your partner.  I was planning on some kind of stuffie but looking on my partner’s profile revealed her to be an actual grown up, so I went for a couple of corsages instead.  Used some yarn I had left over from a scarf for my mum’s Christmas a couple of years ago and fabric from an totally worn out pair of trousers though, so that was good.  It’s satisfying to make a dent in my stash, even a small one.

I’m pretty sure my partner also said that she collects handmade notecards (although when I looked again later I couldn’t actually find that, but we’ll leave that for now), and I’ve been having a love affair with paper this month so made her some out of some bits of wrapping paper and pages from an old craft magazine.  I think they’re rather sweet.

But I’ve not just been crafting myself!  I’ve also been enjoying the crafty goodness of other Glasgow crafters.  Like Asking for Trouble at a craft fair in Langside Hall (which is totally bizarre inside with loads of green art noveau tiles and crazy champagne coloured bamboo wallpaper, who knew?). I was really only after a notebook and a card, but I was also forced to get the lovely bunny purse I’ve had my eye on for ages below, it was too cute to leave.
